What does it mean to believe in yourself?

You have to believe in yourself before anyone else does.

You may have heard this said before and depending on where you were in life, it meant different things.

Honestly, I think believing in yourself has to happen over and over again. Especially when you are going through big changes in your life or career.

This also means that you are reaching past your comfort zone. Learning something new. G R O W I N G.

Believing in yourself comes down to trusting yourself. Knowing that you can do hard things. You EARNED that promotion. You will figure it out (you always do).

If you are in a period of high growth or change, it may seem super overwhelming. Your head is spinning so much you can't hear that voice inside of you that cheers you on. This is when it is helpful to have an outside perspective.

For me, the turning point was after my father passed away in 2018. I was in a newer role, my career was doing really well, but all of a sudden I had to learn about estates and where do I go to get this document notarized?

Finding a coach, a partner during this journey changed everything for me because, honestly, I needed that support way before this point.

I never really knew what I was going to talk about each session, but as soon as I showed up a million thoughts raced out of me.

Really it was scheduling time for me. It allowed me the space to take a step back and listen to what was really on my mind. It helped me identify patterns. It helped me strip away the layers of insecurity and doubt that I was living behind. It was like a breath of fresh air.
